Parikshit Sadh
Cabeça
Cabeça is one of the most experienced Capoeira teachers in India. He started training in 2006 and was the first student of Capoeira to start teaching in India in 2010. He is certified by IBCE (Brazil) and has completed the Practical Instructors Course level 1 and 2 to teach kids and adults.
He runs The Academy operations in Mumbai through his centre in Prabhadevi, and has extensive experience teaching in schools, social projects, and his own centre for adults and children.
Joy Karkera
Capitão
Capitão has been training Capoeira since 2009 and has been teaching since 2013. He has vast experience in teaching kids and adults and has designed the Capoeira curriculum for many schools in Mumbai.
He is certified by Mestre Cueca in the Practical Instructors Course Level 1 & 2. He currently heads our Goa classes in Assagao and Mandrem.
Rhea Ramodiya
Salome
Salome started training in 2015 and quickly became one of the best female Capoeiristas in India. She started her teaching journey in 2017 with many International schools in Mumbai and gained a lot of experience teaching kids and adults.
She currently operates from Goa and takes online training sessions as well.
Niddhi Mehta
Animada
Animada started training Capoeira in 2010 and teaching Capoeira in 2019. She is certified by IBCE (Brazil) to teach Capoeira for kids and adults.
She has taught Capoeira to the students of Drama School Mumbai as part of their curriculum in 2023 and 2024. She also has extensive experience teaching Capoeira to kids in International Schools across Mumbai.
Ilana Tahilramani
Cebola
Ilana has been training Capoeira since 2016 and has been teaching in schools and centres since 2021. She is a certified level 1 teacher in the TAC instructors course and has extensive experience in teaching pre-school children, kids and adults. She handles our centre in Manipal.
Avinash Thapa
Cobra
Cobra started training Capoeira at the age of 9 in 2010 and very quickly became one of the best Capoeira 'performers' in the country. He specializes in acrobatics training.
He has extensive experience teaching kids and teens and has been teaching at International Schools in Mumbai since 2025. He also teaches kids and adults with Cabeça at our Mumbai centre.
